Elvis Smylie

Smylie could not have had a better LIV debut in Riyadh, using his pure left-handed swing to win the individual title and helping Ripper GC claim the team victory. He joined LIV Golf after a breakout 2024-25 professional run that included a statement win at the Australian PGA Championship. One of the fastest-ascending players in Australian golf, he is a former recipient of the Cam Smith Scholarship, which bears the name of his mentor, new teammate, and captain. Smylie was named after Elvis Presley and is the son of former professional tennis players–-his mother Liz Smylie won four Grand Slam doubles titles, including Wimbledon.
Explore all things Ripper GC
We’re four mates who take fun as seriously as we take winning. Mateship sits at the center of everything we do, from how we compete to how we celebrate and have each other’s backs. We bring edge, personality, and a little Aussie irreverence to every round, but don’t get it twisted, we’re here to compete. We trust one another, play without fear, and lean into the moments that test us. Golf is better when it’s played together, and we never forget that. When it’s time to tee it up, we let it rip. That’s Ripper Golf Club.
